GEORGE V. SPANOS
George V. Spanos is a graduate of the University of Maryland, University College - European Division (B.A. with High Honors - 1970), where he graduated first in his class, and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (J.D. - 1975), where he graduated in the top of his class and served on the Editorial Board of the Hastings Law Journal.
Mr. Spanos was associated with the San Francisco law firm of McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen where he handled a wide range of civil litigation matters. Thereafter, Mr. Spanos became Associate Counsel of American President Lines. There he managed the foreign and domestic litigation of the company, and advised the company's officers and managers.
Mr. Spanos is licensed in California. He has taught law as a member of the adjunct faculty of Golden Gate University, San Francisco. He is fluent in Greek. His practice is focused on civil litigation in a broad range of substantive areas.
RICHARD D. BLACK
Richard D. Black is a graduate of Tufts University (B.A. magna cum laude - 1967), and The University of Chicago Law School (J.D. - 1970), where he graduated in the top of his class.
Mr. Black was an attorney for the City of New York, and later became General Counsel to Checchi and Company, a Washington, D.C. conglomerate with operations in the United States and overseas. There he advised the company on corporate and business matters, and supervised all of its litigation.
Mr. Black is licensed in California and New York. His practice concentrates on business transactions, civil litigation, employment law, and wills, trusts, and estates.
